Concerto in motion

Feb 22nd 2026

I went to the Tate Britain in London, as it's a 5 minute walk from our flat and we never had been. It was a delightful Sunday morning. One of the pieces was Concerto 1 by an Artist called Bridget Riley. I'm curious about what she felt about the paintings, but to me I saw it as a series of journeys, all at different stages, all moving separately, like watching cars on a motorway from a bridge. I saw a lot of movement and I wanted to see how that looked so I used codex to help me build it. Each path going on its independent journey, moving at different speeds, some not moving at all, some having finished. It's quite nice to look at and just witness things moving and evolving. I'm a newbie when it comes to art but I know it's meant to make you feel something. These paintings by Bridget Riley did and I enjoyed building on them.
